wILL THESE FIT THE EXHAUST FLANGES ON A 1999 VALKERYIE?
Don't know what a Valkyrie is, but these nuts are in standard thread patterns. If you determine the size of the flange bolts, you can order the corresponding acorn nut. If the bolts are too long you may need to use a regular hex nut first and then cap with cap nut.
Where can I find 5/16, 26thread chrome or stainless acorn nuts for my bike axel?
It is actually 5/16 - 26. Older bicycle axels are that thread. I don't how to convert metrics, but is it possible that there is a metric thread that matches, and do you have it so I can purchase from you? Thanks. David
If the thread actually is 5/16-26, it is a nonstandard thread.... Could it be one of the standard 5/16 pitch threads or possibly a metric pitch thread?

are these acorn nuts1/4 inch with 20 threads per inch and stainless steel?
Yes - select the 1/4-20 and you will get 1/4" 20 tpi (threads per inch) acorn nuts, 18-8 Stainless which is close to 304 grade SS.
Yes, they are stainless/steel. And the ones I got were high quality.(No rust so far, in a coastal marine environment; and on a boat). As for the thread size, they are availale in over a dozen differtent threads. I used these to install 1/4 thick Starboard, custom cut by a friend on his CNC machine, as "weather-cloths" /panels on the aft deck of a motor yacht. The acorn nuts are the "finishing touch" on the "U-bolts", used to attach the Starboard. A couple hundred were used, and none of them have rusted in over 2 years.
The ones I bought are 18-8 SS and are 10-24 thread
Yes they are.
Yes they are but they are very expensive
what does fine mean ?
I would imagine it is referring to "fine" thread and opposed to "course" thread. They would be shown as 1/4"-20 as course or 1/4"-28 as fine.
Threads on bolts/screws and nuts come in to types, course and fine. Bolts and nuts will list the (diameter or size) (by) (number of threads per inch of bolt). An example is #8 - 32. The size is #8 screw and the number of threads per inch is 32. This is fine threads. An #8 - 24 has course threads.
Fine applies to the number of threads on the cap nut, ie. 32. You need to be sure that you are using fine screws if you buy these nuts.
Fine can refer a lot of things: Fine wine, fine woman, fine thread, but since I don't have a clue what you are referring to in the question and since "fine" does not appear in the description of acorn nuts, I don't know how to answer the question. If you could bring it to a little finer point maybe I could give it a shot.
are they USA made?
Not sure if mine were or not.Only Jamestown can tell you if the item they are currently sourcing and providing is Made in the USA. I would hope it is.
