what is the hex size ?
Braqss hex nuts come in the same sizes as steel and stainless steel hex nuts. They are sized by the threads per inch and the size, "number". The commonest sizes are 4-40, 6-32, 8-32, and 10-24 and 10-32. The larger sizes are sized by fractions of an inch, such as 3/16, 1/4, 5/8, and etc. As the sizes get larger, the number of threads per inch get smaller. The commonest number of threads per inch at 1/4 inch is either 20 or 24 xepending on whether the threads are "national fine" or "national course", for example.

What size socket is used for a brass 3/4 10 nut?
I want a really small hex nut. Is this it? What is the size?
i'm doing jewelry too; someone suggested 10-24's, is this a good size for bracelets? i feel like it's sounds too big...
I have used 3 sizes of small nuts:- 2-56 in stainless steel 6-32 in Bronze 4-40 in BrassAll are small and I have used all for jewelry work!
I NEED A HEX NUT 3/8-24, BRASS 1/4 THICK?
What for? I used them to make a bracelet and really liked them!
i didn't buy the hex nut but instead bought the capnut. 3/8x24.That is a hex nut with a lid on top and the hex part is 1/4inch thick, and the cap is another 1/4 inch tall making the whole thing 4/8 inch, quite thick for my intended purpose. If there is room for a cap for your purposes then get the cap nut. My guess is that the ordinary hex nut is not quite 1/4 inch as i have several from other sources and they are not thick enough for your purpose if 1/4 is required.
The odd use for small hex nuts
I know it sounds odd but using these 20 nuts wide can make a great bracelet for women, for men I make them about 1 inch wide. Have had several requests, unusaul use!!!
I am using the brass hex nuts in a jewelry design for a bracelet and necklace. The bracelet is made and I wear It all the time. I had checked other sites and your prices are great! Thank you so much for your prompt service, [...] and prices.
Thew needle in the haystack
I looked high and low online for these flat head brass bolts for my clock repair business and could find them nowhere else. Naturally, a marine hardware store would have them! Price was extremely reasonable[...]
