#10 Stainless steel flat head phillips wood screws. Wood screws have coarse and deep threads to better anchor into wood. Flat head screws are used for general fastening when the screw head will be flush with the surface or when it will be countersunk and the hole will be plugged. Phillips drive allows for greater torque application when fastening. Stainless steel provides strong corrosion resistance.
These marine grade screws provide excellent corrosion resistance and are the work horse for modern boatbuilding or exterior woodworking applications.

how many screws in a #10x 1 inch box of screws ?
JD Tech Associate
can I buy box of 50?
I believe the box count was 50. And I bought only one box
It appears that you can only buy a box of 100. That is what I purchased
How many pounds can these screws hold? I am installing a boat ladder which has 2 holes on each side of the bracket.....Bryan.........
Bryan, I would not recommend screwing anything that has to hold that kind of weight. Through bolt the ladder using fender washers on the back side.
Not really sure how you are using these screws but they are a lot stronger than bronze.
STEPHEN C. SMITH
Bryan,All self tapping wood screws eventually work loose over the years. As the screw and the associated bracket vibrate and pull on the wood, they will compress the threads cut into the wood when originally installed. A loose screw falling out is much more likely than a failed screw. The second factor that causes screw failure is shear. If the bracket pulls perpendicular to the screw, with no support from below, it will fail at a much lower weight than if the force pulled straight out. That said, for boat building, a #10 stainless steel screw is really big and heavy. I am going to guess your boat ladder is supported from a variety of points, and it will be well anchored in a beam or bulkhead. I would be very surprised if the screw itself fails from normal use. I hope this helps.
How much they can hold totally depends on what they're screwed into. These are plenty strong, and would easily support the ladder if they're screwed into solid wood or laminate.
