What grade of Stainless are the bolts?
I don't have them here with me, but I'll check for any markings and let you know.I'm curious why they couldn't answer that for you?I didn't even think about it when I purchased them. Using them for a light load.Peter
18-8 and they are shiny still in my deck and ramp

Not sure what grade - this is a technical question for the folks at Jamestown - don't know why they referred this question to me. Suspect 304 but don't know for sure. Suggest you call Jamestown Tech Support.
Can I get them polished?
First Name Last Name
Not sure if Jamestown will polish them, But, it's EASY to it yourself! I got a small grinder/buffer at a discount tool shop to do it. You can she how GREAT they looked after I did it on a YouTube I did ( Search on Guenevere's Refit ).They sure looked GREAT!!Greg
yes they can be polished...you can use "rubbing compound" or if the carriage bolts are disassembled and "benchable" they can carefully be cleaned with muriatic acid (careful)
are the stainless carriage bolts made in theU.S.A.?
John I would think that Jamestown Distributors would be the best to answer that question. The bolts came is a box with their name on it.I have not installed them yet so I can not say if they will weather.
I DON'T REMEMBER IF THE BOLTS WERE MADE IN THE USA, THERE WAS NO MADE IN CHINA ON THE BOLTS, AND THE BOLTS WERE BETTER QUALITY THAN THE ONES I BOUGHT AT THE LOCAL FASTER STORE , AND THEY NEVER BLED RUST, USED ON EXTERNAL CHAIN PLATES.
I don't know- call Jamestown. They refered you quaestion to me but I am a customer so I cannot verify where the bolts are manufactured.
I really do not know. Jamestown Distributors should be the one to provide the answer!
What grade are your stainless steel carriage bolts?
I had some bolts on this swing set that were rusted bad and these ss bolts will solve the problem.
My neighbor gave me this swing and it was rusted real bad. Some of the bolts was rusted so bad I had to hacksaw them into. The bolts in the swing were 5/16 but I purchased 3/8 bolts to strengthen the swing. I think buying the S/S was a wise decision.
