I used it to fillet West system from the edges. It does the job but they will only last until the adhesive sticks to it.

Good value

Grasp the stick firmly between the thumb and forefinger of the right hand ( use left hand if left handed or right hand if left handed but schooled by nuns who think being kept handed is evil) and stir paint in 3inch diameter clockwise circles. If south of the equator stir anti clockwise. If on the equator ,alternate directions until paint is mixed. If mixing two part epoxy use same technique. For paste type two part glues use smaller circles for at least two minutes. Can also be used as a tongue depressor if ones tongue is overexcited or one needs to look past the tongue to examine the back of the throat. Only do this after mixing non toxic paints and epoxies. Or use a new one. It depends on how much you like the person who tongue needs depressing.

Junior sized

Suprised to see these were junior sized, not in the advertising. Not quite as small as popsicle sticks. Wear gloves when mixing to keep hands clean as they are shorter than the last box I got a couple years ago. Still, the only outlet for wooden tongue depressors I have found.

Would like the adult size

3

I worked in a medical office and was always able to get the adult sized tongue depressors - they are the perfect size for making fillets. Well, I retired and had to find another source. The tongue depressors sold at JD are pediatric sized. They are okay for mixing epoxy and scraping out containers, but much too small to do any fillet work with.

A shop necessity

A box of stir sticks are always in my shop. I don't have time to hunt around for scraps of wood when I'm painting or working with epoxy. A box of these things are there when needed, always clean and strong enuff to the job. Hard to find anywhere else.
