Caulking Guns & Cartridges
can I use 10.3 oz cart with this gun ?
Yes ,a10.3 oz tube will fit into the caulking gun.....It's a great calking gun and well worth the few bucks more than the one you can buy at the Big Box store .....!
I used the standard size cartridges for the jobs I did last year, re-bedding all the hardware on a 30 sailboat (I think they are all 10 oz) I can tell you that the claim about being the last gun you will ever buy is true. This is an excellent tool and well worth the extra money. It exceeds the description on the JD page. If you have a big job or use this tool often buy it.
Backyard Whaler restoration
Used for the first time this past weekend. Very pleased with the quality and performance. Ease of use was better than any of my other caulking guns.
I'll never use a box store gun again
I got some epoxy in a tube from here. Tried using my cheapo gun from the big box store. Could barely get the epoxy to come out and it was killing my hand. Broke down and bought one of these - requires very little pressure and the epoxy comes out like butter.
Where Have You Been All My Caulking Life?!
I struggled with 8:1 caulk guns for years with thicker materials, who knew there was a Heavy Duty version with a higher 18:1 thrust ratio? I do now, thanks to Andy at Boatworks today. We used one with some THIXO and it came out smooth as budda. We need to dispense 4 tubes on our next project and I am looking forward to it now.
Small Boat Restoration
I'll never have to buy another,
This is the only caulking gun we sell in our warehouse for our Carpenters, Painters, Heat and Air guys...even the Grounds guys love it. It's heavy duty, durable and you only ever have to buy one that lasts forever!!
Great for Thickened Epoxy
This was an easy to use powerful caulking gun that made dispensing the thicken epoxy easy.
It made my recent port replacement and other small projects go much faster.
