Solid Brass Rings are used to fasten lines and bridles for sailing and rowing boats. They are also used to reinforce a sewn eye on the tack, clew, or head of a sail.
Combined with other hardware (bronze eye straps, etc.) brass rings can be used as drawer, cabinet or hatch pulls.

Do you have 3" and 4" brass rings? Thank you
I have used a number of these 3 inch brass rings for various sailboat applications - attaching a emergency boarding ladder to my Haven 12 1/2 and as sail attachments to a vintage 1950's Optimist. Their strong, look good, and have a smooth non-marking finish.
looking for an eye-strap/backing plate for this ring?.
I used a two-seated strap to hold the ring. See the photo of the bow of someone's boat; I used the same method to secure the ring to sides of a dock for tying up a boat.
Grab the Bronze Ring
Bow Eye for wooden Boat. Finish is beautiful and will make an attractive addition to the boat. After receiving the product, I made up my Christmas Wish List and sent it to the kids.

Nice Bronze Ring!
Used along with the ABI-151212 2 inch eye strap and a backing plate, this makes a great bow eye for my small dinghy. The dinghy is very light-weight, so I'm not really concerned with the overall strenght of the ring, although it appears very solid and well made.
