Anodes require a clean conductive surface for effectiveness. For most effective anti-corrosion results, clean the area where zinc is to be placed to shiny metal and never paint over any anode.
Selection offered here fits Standard size diameter shafts. Jamestown Distributors also offers shaft zincs in Metric sizes, available on our website.

what is the difference between a camp zincs and martyr zincs as far as quailty. thanks chuck ?
Not sure about the quality difference. I change all zincs every season and these lasted fine. The boat was in the water from April through October.
HAVE USED THEM FOR MANY YEARS THEY WORK VERY WELL
Never used the Martyr zincs. Sorry. I use the Camp zincs because they're meaty and I like the price point.
To me they're all the same. Buy on the sales.
I will buy them again
I buy this product every year
For the boat
the fasteners are solid and the ZN's seem to degrade more evenly. They seem to last longer than some other brands

The best shaft zincs. Used for 20+ years
Camp shaft and rudder zincs have a cast in place insert to improve conductivity. They work and perform exactly as they should. I've used them on my 26 Bertram since 1988. A light hammer tap is all I do to set shaft zinc while tightening mounting screws. Don't just crank down the screws. The hex head screws are small on the shaft zinc and easily broken. Snug zinc and lightly tap to set and re-snug screws. Perfect connection every time.
