Fiberglass Woven Roving cloth is a collection of specific numbers of untwisted continuous filaments. Due to higher fiber content, woven roving's lamination has excellent tensile strength and impact-resistant property.
It can also be used with chopped strand mat to fabricate large size objects, such as boat, vehicle components, pressure tank, house, etc. Woven roving is the primary strength material used in fiberglass boatbuilding. 18 oz. per square yard material wets out easily and is usually used between layers of mat for strong laminates.

Which size roll do I need to have approximately 23 pieces/sheet of 13"x11"?
Is this a trick question? You just have to work it out! If in doubt get a piece of graph paper and start drawing 13" x 11" squares on it. You will soon see how best to fit this into the available roll sizes.RegardsNigel Evans
Is this the right material to repair hull rub rail damage..approx a one foot hole above rub rail?
Yes but not alone will also need Mat and Vail Fiber Glass to allow you to make a smooth surface
If the damage is indeed above the rub rail, then you examine a cross-section of the hull's construction. It may be f-glass-plywood-f-glass. Or, f-glass-balsa core-f-glass. you must repair the above sequence in the same order. If the holed area is indeed heavy roving, then this is the product. external layers should be lighter and lighter f-glass. Remember, use epoxy systems.
Looking for the proper material to tab some 3/4 in ply bulkheads in my sailboat that were "out of sight out of mind" when it was built, i.e. they tabbed one side but not the other. Wondering if I should use woven roving (that's what was used by the builder) and if so, what weight.? Thanx!
Thanx for the reply Mark. Any recommendations on the best weight woven roving? Julian
Yes you should use woven roving. Just make sure you grind and scuff the area really good.
Has anyone used this on a wooden boat if so does the natural wood look come through if you used a clear resin application?
yes, many people use this with epoxy for a clear coating. Finish with 4 to 5 coats of Varnish with UV additives such as Epifanes CV1000.
I am building a car body and the product worked great. Easy to work with.

The material gave me the thickness I wanted without multiple layers of cloth. It seems quite strong with the resin I used.
