Can this drill pump be used to transfer oil?
yes, I use it to pump the waste oil out of the base of my diesel engine during oil changes- works great Fred Pomeroy (commercial fisherman)
Yes - This drill pump is capable of pumping light oil such as home heating oil for example. However, Don't expect this pump to last more than about 30 minutes before the impeller disintegrates and fails completely when pumping #2 home heating oil. Jamestown Distributors will not stand behind this pump once it fails. They did nothing for me in terms of either a refund or replacement when this same pump failed. Disappointing in every way. What is the lift of this pump with water. What is the pumps gpm?
It pumps 13 GPM
can this drill pump be used for transferring gasoline from one container to another?
It is strongly recommended NOT to use this for gasoline as it is a highly flammable liquid, and only takes one spark to ignite.
Do you think this pump will work for vegetable oil?
Thanks. I am talking vegetable oil, not mineral oil, but the consistency is pretty similar when it is not too cold.
Yes. I used it for pumping transformer oil (similar to mineral oil) and it worked great.
