Keep your good brushes nice and new by storing them in the JD Brush Keeper. The 14-inch tall plastic container has a removable rack at the top to suspend up to 8 brushes in kerosene or diesel. Also has an air tight lid designed to inhibit evaporation and spillage. If you already have, or are interested in, high quality brushes for painting and varnishing, then this keeper is essential for making the most of your investment.

The device leaks
Should have bought the metal epifanes paint brush keeper. The brushes will drop into the diesel due to flexing of the holder. Would not recommend purchase,
Clever design, I wish I had bought one eyars ago!
If I had spent the money for this years ago I would have saved myself at least a hundred dollars. This is a clever design. No matter how well you clean your bristle brushes inevitably get stiff after storing them for a long time. I still clean the brush the same way but now hang them in diesel and whenever I have to paint or varnish I take them out, give them a quick spin in a bucket and I am ready to go.
I would not buy it again
I use the brush keeper with kerosene. Once the kerosene is added, the sides of the plastic vessel bulge, and the rack falls down with all the brushes. A previous review said he added a clamp, which is a good idea, though it should not be needed. It should have been designed and built better. It is way overpriced for a piece of tupperware that does not hold the brushes as designed.

I have not used this yet, but have tried to build my own similar containers to hold paint brushes in solvent. This is a great design and definitely better than anything I came up with. Looking forward to clean varnish jobs with this container.

[...] sells these identical containers without the rack for [$]bucks. Bend a few pieces of wire from coat hooks to arrange aroung the sides and save yourself $35. Plus by making individual hangers you can adjust how high or low the brushes hang. Great idea just overpriced!
Handy, but loses its shape
Have used this for a year so far, keeping varnish brushes ready to use. It could stand to be a little taller; some brushes with long handles don't fit. Recently I had to add a clamp to it because the sides had bulged out a bit, allowing the brush rack to fall down. The clamp is a nuisance but I'll keep on using the keeper unless I find a better one.
While the brush keeper works as advertised, essentially it is just a tupperware container with a "T" in it to hold the brushes off the bottom. For this, I would think 20 bucks. At this price not really worth it, unless you keep real expensive brushes, then I could see it.I use it, like it, but wish it was cheaper.

A simple tool that works
The keeper works exactly as advertised. Save and preserve your expensive, high quality brushes with this unit. I saved a bundle on varnish brushes alone!
