Has anyone tried using this wax over Algrip?

Is Scotch guard Marine wax good for new boats? I don't want polishes or cleaners, just high gloss and UV protection. Is this the best for new boats?
Never mind y you are not answering the question. Does this have polishing chemicals, abrasives, or anything that scratch es new gel coats. I will ask another company because you don't know and are not willing to find out.
I've used this several times. Not sure how the protection compares to other waxes, but I never had a problem with it. I am thinking as long as you apply any decent wax you get pretty good protection. I will say that applying this does help clean and it is easy on easy off. Hope this helps.
Sorry, Rob. I'm just a user, not an expert. But you can certainly look up what is in Scotchgard Marine Wax online. If you do, you'll find that there is NOTHING in it that could possibly damage gelcoat. That would be counter-productive, by the way, for any protective coating.
I've used Scotchgard Marine Liquid Wax for four years running now, though I've been waxing boats for about 15 years. I settled on Scotchgard because it is by far the easiest wax to apply and buff to a shine, and (in the Chesapeake Bay area) it provides plenty of protection for the whole year. Whether the boat is new or old does not matter. The Scotchgard will look good and prolong the life of the gelcoat in whatever state it is in when applied. Highly recommended.
3M Scotchgard Marine was would be a very good choice for a new boat. It will apply and remove easily leaving a a nice finish.
ease of use?
It is about the same as waxing and polishing your car. Give yourself plenty of time and follow the directions and be patient The process is relatively painless if, and I stress, you are patient and follow the directions.
I found marine boat wax is great on fiberglass showers, will this work on tile in bathrooms? What do I nee to apply to surface?
Well I just used this on my boat, not my bathtub, and it worked pretty well applying it with one of those round sponge-type or terry-cloth covered sponges (dampened) used for for applying wax to a car or boat, then letting it dry for a few minutes. Then wipe/buff with a clean cotton rag. Maybe I'll try in on the bathroom now.
I'm sure it would work great especially if you used the imperial compound to clean the tile first- thing is if you get the compound in the grout lines it is white but the wax is a biege and it might discor the grout if you got it on there...
do you apply this with wet or dry cloth?
I apply this with a dry cloth and hand buff it. I have been using this product for several years. It is lasting and easy to apply and buff. I would not use another product after discovering this.
Whether it's right or wrong, I find that by misting the buffer each time I apply the wax, it's easier!
Our question was answered. We used it dry this time. Works great. Thanks to all who answered.
Pretty good wax
goes on easy by hand. comes off easy by hand. wax lasts for a few months. smells nice.
Easy on easy off
This product was easier to apply and buff off than most waxes I've used. Surface looked good afterward without too much buffing. It also cleaned scum film off to some extent that I had missed during prewash.
