Can I use this on my spiral stair in the house. They are metal? Is it safe? I have small children.
You can use this product on metal. Unfortunately, it is more in the judgement of the consumer. We find it to be a great non-skid paint from our experience, but you may want to read reviews from other consumers to see if it would meet your needs.

Do I need a primer on new marine plywood with Evercoat Skid-no-more?
I did primer mine to guarantee adhesion to the new plywood and it hasn't peeled at all in three years
My boat was older, so the plywood wasn't new. I removed the carpet and applied the paint directly without primer. It has worked great without any water getting to the wood from the top. If you can paint both sides before laying the wood in your boat, I would recommend it. I had water moisture from below (around the motor and ski storage. It sticks great, so primer isn't needed and it has rubber in it, so it seals great.
SORRY, NO CLUE. WE USED IT IN A FIBERGLASS BATHTUB. GOOD LUCK.
It says no priming necessary, however I would seal the plywood with a clear penetrating epoxy first if it is going to be used on a boat or in a marine environment.
I used this on my entire pontoon flooring after restoring it. EXTREMELY difficult to get a consistent coating although I love the rubberized feel. My question is this, I desperately need to paint the floor as the cosmetic appearance ruined my restoration project. I can't think of one reason why a good outdoor latex paint would not adhere to this material. Can anyone answer that for me?
It is a pain to apply I did my entire deck of my bay boat and it took many hours with a very thick brush slowly brushing it evenly...DO NOT GET GASOLINE ON IT
I am leery of skid-no-more. the jury is still out. However, it did keep moisture out where many leaks had been presenton a fibre glass over plywood deck.A year after applying it, I noticed some blisters early on a wet morning. They seemed to have disappeared when the sun warmed things up. What you paint it on matters and the wrong combination can be devastating. Same for what you paint over it. Latex, epoxy and oil based paints don't get along.Good Luckbill at proctorillustration dot com
Will this take gas sitting on it? Will it bloodstain?
it is latex based paint gas may cause it to blister.
Sailboat application tips
Stir thoroughly until mixture is finely consistent with smooth can bottom and sides. Apply to small area < 50 sf. I used a short Bristol 3" brush, 3"x6" area per paint dip. Don't worry when 1st coat appears skimpy. Takes 3 coats, 2nd coat after 2 hours, 3rd coat after 8 hours. Finish is non-skid and non-abrasive. Pulling tape after dry must be done very carefully with a utility knife handy. BE CAREFUL! If a tear occurs, you can re-tape and go back over it.
North Beach, MD0
Covered fairly well, two coats needed. I would use this again.
WORKS GREAT ON BATHTUB BOTTOM! NO MORE FALLS.
1 QUART DOES NOT EVENLY COVER A REGULAR BATHTUB FLOOR. WILL TRY 2ND QT & SEE IF IT IS MORE EVEN. SO FAR THOUGH--STILL NO SLIPS EVEN IN THINNER AREAS. IT POOLS & WILL DRY IN A KNOT IF NOT CAREFUL.

New floor in my center console looks great and is sealed and slip proof
Will not buy this product again
We just painted our sail boat/home from top to bottom, something that has been needed for some time. Non skid was one item on the list. We have a lot of non skid area on the deck and many things to paint around. We opened the can and the gray color was perfect, and after mixing it the texture was very nice. However, after applying it to our deck it became blotchy with rubber bits sticking up and BLACK. Not the color in the can, nor the texture I saw in the can. Where did the gray color go? Now I have a black deck that will make the inside of the boat very hot. There isn't any information that tells you the end result. When I Bought it the dealer didn't tell us it dried black. It is so horrible it makes me sick to look at my boat. I wasted my money and time on this product. It is best for a work boat or a fishing boat, but not my home.
after a good cleaning and surface scuffing.this paint product worked great.just need to keep in mind one coat will not do it.plan on doubling the square footage for proper coverage.the jobcame out better than imagined.
Will, do it better than most
Not quite there...
This Product is easy to apply and as used on the deck of a commercial skiff worked well up until there was a small gasoline spill... the gas bubbled this stuff off and made a mess of the surrounding area, similar to peeling latex paint on a wall. All well and good after a cleaning and reapplication... two months later an oil rag fell on deck and same thing, bubbles and failure of the nonskid. Two thumbs down. Might work well on a pool diving board but definitely not where it may encounter petroleum.
