Plexus MA 310 Plastic Adhesive has a 1:1 mix ratio and a 15 to 18 minute working time. It is cream in color. MA 310 is an ideal universal adhesive since it has the chemical nature to bond to almost any plastic.
A number of professional boatbuilders and repair shops keep tubes of MA 310 in their standard fiberglass boat repair kits. Commonly used to bond two molded sections together, either in production or repair.
The MMM-50004 applicator gun and the COM-533425 tips are required for the 50 ml tubes.
The COX-M400XMR/1:2 400 ml applicator gun is required for the 400 ml tube and COM-223252 mixing tube.

how do you remove this glue?
The only way I have removed Plexus is via mechanical grinding. When I talked to ITW, they did not suggest other options.
My application was on a lexan deck hatch/vent. This was the product that the boat manufacturer used. Since is was quite mature, I had to use a razor blade to remove the old material. It pretty much chipped off, and reasonably easily. Then used the new material to re-attach the open/close hardware to the hatch. Worked beautifully.
NOT SURE WHAT YOU'RE ASKING, BUT AFTER THE "GLUE" HARDENS, THE ONLY THING TO DO IS SCRAP AWAY UNWANTED AREAS. iT WORKED GREAT ON MY POLYETHYLENE TANK
thank you that is the only option that I have come up with.
I am considering this product to adhere clips that will hold a heat cable to a standing seam metal roof. Does anyone have a fastening rate on this product? The clips are about 2-3 inches square and I need to apply 450 of them.
The adhesive is incredibly strong. I used it to secure metal tabs to fiberglass on a helicopter. It's expensive but will do the job.
What is the shelf life? Can one use only a portion of the two part tube and re-seal? Does the efficacy of the remaining portion in the tube stay like new?
Thanks for your response.
I can't answer your question without looking at the tubes, which are on my boat. I plan on being on the boat tomorrow (Wednesday). I will look at the tubes and let you know. This is the only adhesive that has worked on the application of glueing the latch to a Lewmar deck hatch. Lewmar rccomended this adhesive for this application.I will look on my boat tomorrow and get back to you.
I use the large cartridges and they reseal. You can't reuse the 2 part mixer again but the adhesive is fine. I just leave the two part mixer on the gun until next time I need it then pull it off and switch with a new tip. Not sure of the shelf life, I go through about a tube per month.
I bought a plexus MA830 cartridge of 50 ml. came without anything to push the piston, etc. how to use it?
I am not sure if this product is what I have in mind. I used a chalk gun for a thickened epoxy tube I had purchased.
Can this adhesive be used below the waterline?
I have used it many times in locations where it is repeatedly wet and often times submerged. It is not constantly below water, but it has performed admirably where I have used it.
Yes, certainly. Make sure it is completely cured and sanded before launching.
I waant to attach a metal footbrace mounting stud to a kevlar canoe. Us this the best product for that application?
I would think it work well with Kevlar, Carbon fiber, plastics to aluminum etc, not know the specific sheer strength required. I used it for sail track attachment on a mast of a high performance racing sail boat, it's the only product that works! Plastic to fiberglass
It will definitely work. Please know that once attached, you will never be able to remove it without destroying your canoe......clean the metal to remove scale and oil. we use it to bond sail tracks to masts etc.
how to apply plexus ma310?
This is my favorite adhesive. Strong yet flexible, adheres to most any thing, set within 20 mins.I actually don't use the gun. (~$350) Unless you are using, and need a steady bead. Use it like ant 2 part epoxy.
CAN YOU PAINT OVER THIS PRODUCT?
I don't know, I've never tried to paint over this adhesive after use.
I do apologize but I do not know the answer to your question as my application did not require paint. I can however confirm how well the product work to glue my hatch cover hinge assembly to the hatch cover. Amazing performance that seems will last the life of my hatch.
Hi: I used the adhesive on the inside of my sea kayak's seat hangers. Even though it wouldn't be seen from the outside, I painted the repair with an non-marine black paint--perhaps it was enamel. So far, it's been looking as it did when I first painted it. Hope this helps.
Worth a shot it dries kinda yellow a good product dries hard seems to stick well. Paintable not sure good plastic paint should work. Good luck. Stu
Are the com-533425 tips 4" or 8"?
When I received the com-533425 tips they measure 6".. I am disappointed with my order, I specificallywanted the short tips. The short ones I have on hand measure 3 3/8". Do you have them? Thanks, Hoyt Mauldin
How is the 400 ml dispensed? I don't see the information on it. thanks, gordon
It's a 2-part epoxy, .....I use it w/o the gun.
Good question. I additionally bought the mixing tubes but apparently you need to also buy the plungers separately to dispense. I assumed they would be included as they are in every other type of glue that comes in a similar dispenser. I didn't want to re-order as the glue is already really expensive so I tried to fashion my own plunger. That didn't work and the glue was all lost. Probably great glue but get the plungers. I ended up using some marine epoxy I had around and it worked great. Good luck.Todd
Yes very good product
Pricy but worth it

Yes we would purchase this item again
Our shop will continue to use this product
MA310 and cartridge
Good epoxy. The best. However the cap assembly comes apart early on.
I found this adhesive pretty easy to apply when also using the Plexus mixing nozzle. I needed to re-adhere a broken closing handle to a plexiglass boat hatch. This adhesive has worked very well. It cured within an hour or so. The hatch closing handle gets a lot of stress on it and I see no indication that the handle bond is weak or lacks its original strength. A very good adhesive for plastic to plastic.
the product did one hellva job on my corian kitchen countertop
Bonds with Composite Hulls
I normally use with the applicator 'gun' and mixing tip on my Hunter ABS hull to correct cracks. Can be sanded to match smooth to finish although sometimes requires a fairing compound to get true. In my area where we have -10 to -20 winters and I cover but don't have any heated site for over wintering, cracks often appear in the same location each year. I blame this on the hull composition (Hunter has changed the 216 and 170 type models to fiberglass), not the product.

You need other parts to best use this
This product is just the glue in tubes. You need to buy the pluger tool and nozzles seperately. Others sell this product wit a nozzle and plungers. I did not buythe nozzles. I squeezed equal amounts out of each tube and then mixed it with a stick and applied with a syringe. So you can get buy without it. The old product was more convenient.
Amazing Plastic Adhesive for Marine Use
Use it in difficult situations, especially bonding plastic/fiberglass to metal. Also very good for hull repairs. No real prep needed for site and works well even with moisture or oil contamination. Used it to repair 3 inch hole in hull of a Hunter composite sailboat along with fiberglass mesh. Easy to mix, sets relatively quickly but working time (approx 15 min) is adequate. Can be filed or sanded easily and can put boat back in water within the hour. While it is not cheap, it is the adhesive of choice for the really difficult bonding tasks or repairs.

This stuff is bomber!
Nothing bonds plastic to metal like this adhesive. Cures quickly. The smell will knock you for a loop. Use a good charcoal filter mask and nitrile gloves. Don't get it on you.
