MET / STD:
anybody know what the countersink angle is on these, 82 degrees or 100 degrees? I need 82.
The 1/4-20 x 1" flat phillips machine screw that I ordered and received have a 45 degree countersink angle.

The countersink angle to the threaded shank is 45 degrees, which makes the overall head angle 90 degrees. That said, when a screw is held against a 90 degree v-square, the angle looks to be slightly less than 90 degrees. This should provide an interference fit to an 82 degree hole. hope this eyeball information helps you.

Don't know. Used standard counter sink on mahogany and results were fine.
Sorry, don't know..best of luck
Can you provide true length for a 5/8 and what degree is the countersink?
No, I do not know that.
Overall length including the head is 5/8". Head takes up 1/4" of length. Head angle is 45 degrees. These figures are believed to be true but not guaranteed.
depending on the length it is threaded all the way. I purchased ones that were 1 1/2" long and they were completely threaded.
If you mean are the threads cut starting at the top, I could not say. If you mean are they right hand threads, yes. I really am not privy to the manufacturing process.
The 3/4" screws are fully threaded. Don't know about the longer ones.
The screw I got are 4 inches long and threaded the whole length.
Great boat product
These work perfectly on boats. I slightly countersink them for a smooth application. The lock nuts prevent them from coming up as some do with vibration.

Good quality for a great price
USed these on my utility trailer. I needed to replace some rotted side boards and the original screws were rusted out. I re-tapped the holes and these new screws went in like champ! I really like that these are stainless steel so hopefully I won;t ever need to replace them again. I shopeed around at the local hardware stores and the price that Jamestown offered just couldn't be beat. Shipping was quick and I am very pleased with my first online expereince with Jamestown.
Very well made & great price
Access panels on my outdoor deck. Smooth machining. These are nice!
