I use mine for steiner 7 X 50 without the compass. Mine are the green army coated ones and it is the perfect size
I have the Steiner 7x50 without the compass and there is plenty of room. I even open the binoculars to there widest so that there is no slop going on.Regards, frank
Safe way to stow rare binoculars
Keeps expensive, and in this case antique binoculars safe, but accessable

Teak is neat!
The Teak binocks rack by AFI makes a handsome addition to the boat cabin. It not only looks good but it is a secure home for my valuable binocks. Better than a bookshelf and more secure than a drawer. The rack keeps the binocks where they belong and handy when needed. Varnish the teak if you like it shiny or oil for the classic look.
