How long does the mounting bolt protrude from the bottom of the holder?
It's not a mounting bolt, it's a machine screw that's 1 1/4 inch long. The screw comes off the holder so you can interchange it to whatever length you want or need it to be. Hope that helps.
Roughly an inch and a quarter. The threaded fitting on mine was not permanently attached, so you can use another SS bolt or other threaded rod if needed.
I wish I could be exact but I mounted them too long ago to remember. So my best recollection is that it was a 1.5 inch bolt. It is worth mentioning that there is a .25 inch stabilizer rod that also protrudes from the bottom, so you actually have to drill two holes. Since I could not access the area beneath my application because it is several inches thick, I used 3M adhesive to glue the holders in place. They are still sturdy and extremely useful.
About 1.5" I believe.... I installed on the dash of a 13 whaler without a problem
Good Edson quality and design
This will sit nicely above the cockpit table I am making for my Pearson 28-2
