I am considering 3/16" solid black Novabraid XLE polyester rope for an unusual application, to secure (i.e. tie) polyethylene drums to fitted wood pier sections that will remain in a marsh. The application requires low-stretch, water, acid & U.V. resistance. The tensile strength of the rope exceeds the need. Please let me have your opinion of application and suggest other materials that you might be better suited. Thank you
The acid factor is the only thing I am not sure about. As for the UV, water, low stretch should give decent performance for a polyester double braid. You may want to check with the manufacturer based upon the specific acidity level you require.

I don't know if the water resistance and Low stretch apply to standing water or rather constant immersion. Also know that muskrats love to chew on materials at the water line.
Using it for roller furling halyard... It was not solid black as advertised, had white specks, took almost a week to get to my mail box and was pricey. On the other hand it seems like good line, time will tell. It has only been on the vessel a two weeks.
