The AFI mini compact electric horn combines high-quality design with a powerful tone. A totally sealed sound unit, and a 304 grade stainless steel diaphragm and mounting bracket helps prevent corrosion in marine environments. This model is compact so it can be mounted out of the way on the bow or cabin top your boat.

would this unit have the mounting brackets included, how is it mounted??
Easy to mount with screws or bolts on bottom side of horn to surface.
The mounting bracket is below the horn. You can't see it in the picture. Drill three holes, one each for the mounting two screws or bolts, one for the two wires. Very simple to install!
No they is no mounting brackets included. You hav to manage you own way to install. But it's not difficult.I like to write just a word about ths order.I was really disappointed to discover that in fact the horn mini compact ordered has an asthmatic sound. I thought it could be really powerful and able to replace the existing horn originally installed on my motobicycle.I will not send back because I didn•À_??t keep the packaging and considering the price I believe that I will lose money again. Unfortunately it was a ridiculous idea for me.
It has a mounting bracket in the shape of a U attached to the horn. You need 2 stainless steel screws. It's simple and straight forward.
how does this horn mount?
The horn is attached to a mounting bracket. The bracket has 2 holes for screws or bolts and a hole in the middle for the electrical wires. The picture doesn't show the bracket, but it's there and installing it is a breeze..
Easy to mount with 2 screws or bolts and nuts, depending on what you mount it on. Very straightforward once you see it.
how do i hook this up?
It's very simple. You have a ground wire (black) that attaches to any common ground point. You have a red wire that goes to 12 volts, via a horn button (the kind you press) to a 12 volts source. You can either use a live 12 volts or a 12 volt source that comes off the ignition switch. In lieu of a horn button, any kind of switch can be used. It's a good idea to put a fuse in the circuit. Not sure of the fuse rating to use, but the horn should have the number of amps it uses somewhere on it.. Use a fuse 2 amps or so over the actual amp draw. If you use a fuse of the same amperage as the horn draw, you'll just blow the fuse!
First, you will need a push button switch to operate the horn. Simply wire one side of the switch from the battery, and the other side of the switch to the horn, and the other side of the horn back to the battery. I always run the positive side from the battery to one side of the switch, and then the other side of the switch to the red wire on the horn. Then simply run the black wire from the horn back to the negative side of the battery.I hope this helps. Good luck.
Just hook the wires to fuse panel. If you don't have a fuse panel run a fused .positive wire and a ground wire off your battery.
Will it come with wires ? ED
Yes it comes with wires.
Yes, mine came with a paired set of wires, about 8" long, sticking out of the horn at the bracket end.Phil
Yes, it is already wired with ample wiring. Make sure you make the connections weather proof if it is to be mounted outside.
BERNICE L BURDICK
Yes. More than long enough for my application.
A Perfect Fit/Replacement
This was bought to replace my older horn that had gotten full of spider nests and mud dauber wasps. Easy 2 screw replacement, and then 2 heat shrink butt connectors for the wires. Back in business!

Nice and easy to buy and install
Great product at a great price
Dose the job well
I installed this on my Polaris RZR ATV since it is waterproof and I occasionally have to go through deep water, not to mention all the water puddles that get splashed onto the horn from the front wheel only a foot away. It does the job very well and is loud enough to get the slow pokes out of my way.
Exactly as advertized.
Seems to be an exact replacement for a 20 year old Horn.
