Tessilmare rub rail kits are easy to install on just about any boat. Their no-heating required cold fitting design with easy to bend material saves time and results in a seamless, finished look without the hassle of traditional rub rail installs. Choose black or white in a wide range of pre-cut sizes (3 widths and 3 lengths).
Simply install the track on the hull using standard self-tapping screws (sold separately). Once the track is properly fitted, the rubber profile snaps into place on the track. Tessilmare kits are easier to install than the competition, last longer, and simply look neater than conventional multi-piece rub rails and hull guards.

Hi. Recently installed the Tessilmare Radial Rub Rail and would like to know what products are recommended for use when cleaning the rub rail of dirt, scuffs, etc.
I find that Roll Off works well with black marks. https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/show_product.do?pid=2338&familyName=Roll-Off+Amazing+Marine+Cleaner Also one of the Mr.Clean magic erasers really cleans well.

What do I used to clean this product? It seems to get dirty very easily especially after having been in the shop. Is there any product that I shouldn't use? Soap and water don't seem to work especially on black marks.

Which size to do an 11 foot whaler 1 1/4 or 1 and 5/8 or another recommended product?
The 1 1/4" would look the best on that size whaler.

I am interested in the 1 5/8" tessilmare rub rail. although I only need 32 feet of it. it seems that your kit for that item is 52'. do I have any other options?
You can buy these by the foot. You will need to call in the order. 800-497-0010

Just purchased and getting ready to install the 72' version. Is the rubber rail pre-treated for UV resistance, or should we treat it before installation?
It's not pre-treated for UV resistance. A coating of Aerospace 303 protectant would be good.

Rick,I can only find kit prices on your website. Can you quote me for 80' and 2 SS end caps? Radial 52 White. Please include recommended SS fasteners Qty. and quote as well as recommended caulk/sealer. I am looking for a turnkey parts order for rub rail replacement. Also, is there a cap/cover for the bow point or will 52 make a 160 degree bend? Thanks,Mark
It will make a 160 degree bend around the bow. You can order specific lengths from us but the rail and end caps are sold separately not part of a kit as in the standard lengths.Best to call for a quote.800-423-0030
Will this work on a Carolina skiff/ if so what size ?tessimare rub rail.
I would use a 1 5/8 min.Product works great and applies easily.Good Luck,
It can work but you need to modify the boat. I removed the existing rub rail, cut the small lip of fiberglass off the edge of the boat with an angle grinder and cutoff wheel. I then installed the semi-ridgid part on the rub rail with #8 stainless bolts, washers and Nylocks. So far,so good.
Do you have pics of it installed on your carolina skiff/ would like to see it installed.
I used the smallest size on my homebuilt skiff. It looks real nice and was easy to install. I think the smaller size would work fine on a Carolina skiff
Is this a product that is made to be installed on a teak swim platform? If not, is there a product you can recommend to protect the edges of a teak swim platform.
the hard rail which can be bent (see comments about heat gun use) has a lip on it so that is catches where the top and bottom fiberglass shells on most boats come together. Basically the rub rail serves to hide the joint as well as protect the hull. So it depends on your platform but you could put the lip over the bottom of the platform so that the rail is evenly installed around the bottom of the platform. If you have a thick platform and wanted to center the rail it would be better to use product without the lip, see bottom of photo of the rail.
I think it would be very nice on a swim platform. No exposed fasteners to get snagged on, as you would see on a cheaper dock bumper.
I'm currently interested in your rub rail kit that contains the 72 feet of track and product. However, I only need 55 feet. Is there any way to customer order the kit with a pro-rated price for the track and product? In addition, does the kit come with end caps?
Only sold in 46', 52' 72' lengths. End caps are sold separately.
Good product and easy to install.
FOR THE MONEY THEY CHARGE FOR PRESSED PLASTIC, THEY SHOULD THROW IN SOME POLISHED PRESSED STAINLESS END CAPS. THEY WOULD COST THE MFGR ABOUT 5 BUCKS. IT'S A PRETTY FAIR DEAL FOR THE MONEY, BUT IT NEEDS STAINLESS END CAPS.

Good product, lousy packaging.
Shipped as a heavy roll of material. Arrived with shipping container dammaged and small parts missing. Need to pack in heavier container.
Even a husband and wife can install without arguing!
Do not pay someone to install this for you. My husband and I installed it in 2 1/2 hours without any problems. I suggest using screws and lock nuts, not rivets. What a great upgrade to our boat, looks awesome!
Easy to install, easy to reinstall, which is often.
Easiest to install but because of the design, it's also very easy to pull apart and damage. Especially on a small boat that bobs around at the dock. Any vertical swipe will pull the soft bumper off the semi-rigid frame. Good news is, it's really easy to put back on. Takes direct horizontal bumps without a problem.
Lake St Louis
Fairly easy to install
Easy to install but not happy with end caps
Tessilmare Rub Rail Kit - good product!
Easy to install - makes the boat look good again.
Great product easy install
Took under two hours to install, looks professional

Quick and easy to install
Used on small 13' 1966 Boston Whaler. Drill pilot hole in track only to get better screw bite into the boat. Countersink track so the screw head sits flush with the track. This will eliminate screw bumps in the rub rail. I spaced my screws 6" apart using about 90 #8 x 3/4" SS screws. Use very low heat from a hairdryer to relieve track tension around corners, too much heat will ruin the track. One person install took about 2 hrs.
I installed a Taco rub rail the first time I replaced my rub rail. That one lasted about 5 years. It never really looked that good, not even from the start. It served the purpose. I thought this season I would spiff up the boat and I opted for including a new rub rail. I did some online research and came across this Tessilmare. I viewed as many you tube videos I could and read all the reviews. I can't say enough about this product. Installed easily, by myself! Yes a heat gun is a good idea for the bow and transom bends. Use the gun and get professional results. Best 200 bucks I have spent on the boat in a long time!
