Brass screw eyes are great for holding small loads, providing that they are properly anchored. Eye bolts and shoulder eye bolts should be used for heavier loads. Self-tapping sturdy brass construction, many sizes available.

Solid Brass Screw Eyes
are the screw eyes BR121612 solid brass or brass plated?
Mine are solid brass.donelmalo
Says solid brass so presume it is solid.
I believe they are solid brass. The ones I used are very tiny and were used in a craft project.Sylvia H
These are solid brass, not plated. They are high quality screw-eyes. I didn't find a single defective screw eye in the box.
It appears to be solid brass.
Brass screws # 121612 are solid brass. I use them as hangers on my custom bird houses
Do you have anything like this with a collar, for strength with a non-vertical load. Just like one of these, but with a collar. Ideally, the shank would be about 1" long, with self tapping 1/4" diameter coarse threads, and a hoop with about a 3/4" to 1" outside diameter. Antique brass?
I did not order anything that big or with a collar. The ones I bought work perfectly for Mesquite picture frames up to 11 x 14. After that I use larger, flat brass pieces with 1/8th inch screws. The ones I bought are very nice, finish is fine...I'll buy more when I need them.Ron
Is the size listed the width or legth?
The size listed in the drop down menu is the length over all, if you scroll down on the page you can see a tech chart with all the dimensions...< a href="http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/show_product.do?pid=58536" target="_blank">http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/show_product.do?pid=58536< /a>
why does the diminions differ from the item I want when I enter the item to the add list?

Hi, I'm hoping to turn some really small gourds into holiday tree orniments and am looking for a really really tiny/small brass screw-eye for the project. Are these what I want?
Audrey, since it doesn't say what item you were inquiring about can't really help you except to say that the Gourd size would determine what size eye screw you need. If the gourd is 1.5" long then probably the 2nd from bottom of the eye screw list will do. I'm a turner myself, and i'm always looking for inexpensive ways to hang my turnings. And no i'm not a staff member either, just someone that likes to help when i can.
Used to hang wildlife wood sculpture mobiles.

Brass Screw Eyes-Small
I'm starting a new project, Christmas ornaments that the screw eyes will be attached to for hanging on a tree. The ornaments will be turned on my lathe, mostly from exotic woods.
Used these small brass screw eyes to hang Spanish glass chrystals between the pickets in my home's stair railing. Could not find the product locally (within 200 mi radius) Thanx J.D.!

Great product and delivery
I needed brass and I needed small screw eyes. These are just right. I like the fact that they have significant length of screw thread. many screw eyes have very short threads.
I needed tiny screw eyes and these work
Perfect for my little craft project and I didn't have to hunt through every hardware store in town to find them.
