Never buy again, would ask for a refund

I bought this product twice for the same project thinking that my results would differ on the second go-around. Unfortunately I had terrible results with both the rolling/tipping method and by spraying it. There are a couple items I'd like to point out about the product with both methods. I will point out that I have worked as a painter in an auto-collision shop for 10 years so I know how to mix paint and how to prep surfaces. Issues with product: 1) The rolling and tipping method produced terrible bubbling. This is not the bubbles that you need to tip out but chemical bubbles after the tipping was complete. The bubbles were all over the place on several coats. So not only did I waste the paint with this method I also wasted two brushes at $20 a piece as it was almost impossible cleaning them. 2) Spraying the paint produced almost the same results. The paint I sprayed was from a new can so it wasn't the first can that could have been contaminated. Once again the results I received were massive amounts of bubbling and to add insult there were a ton of fisheyes in the paint. I sanded down once again and repainted with the same results. At that point I gave up on the product. My final solution was to buy PPG base coat clear coat and had amazing results with that. I had no bubbling, fisheyes and the paint ended costing me about half of what I paid for epiphanes. In the end I spent around $400 on the epiphanes paint and other supplies. The fix was to spend $110 on the PPG product that looked perfect. Some people love this Epiphanes but there are much better alternatives out there.

I have been using this product on the spars, cabin sole, and deck non-skid of my 36' sailboat for years. Now I am using the product for the bottom and topsides paint for a wooden Penguin I am restoring. If you follow the directions properly and apply the paint carefully you will be amazed at the results (I use West System foam rollers and stiff bristle brush and apply in moderate temperatures or shade). The finish is hard and glossy and holds up well with proper maintenance (regular fresh water washing plus a cleaner/wax will remove any oxidation).

I used the cloud white on the bottom & top cap, and the aqua mist on the sides of my 1983 24' center console. I rolled & tipped the bottom, sprayed the sides & top. Even up close it came out excellent. Compliments on the water every time I went out. Will do it again with my next boat project

Awesome Product

I painted the bottom of my boat with Cloud White via Roll and Tip method. Gloss and durability of paint is unsurpassed. The sides of the boat I did in Aqua Mist but on this I sprayed it. All I can say is WOW. Came out far better than Roll n Tip for finish, no sags or runs, very self leveling and high gloss. Spraying was much faster as well! People say you cant spray as a novice etc. Nonsense: I sprayed outside over sand driveway on a 5 mph windy day and the few pieces of dust that got in the paint literally brushed off once it got tachy. Of course prep is 90% of it and I had 20 hours into the boat sanding and priming. Will use this product again for sure!
