Interlux Brightside Polyurethane

Interlux Brightside Polyurethane is the most technically advanced one-part polyurethane available. It contains unique additives that make cleaning easier and help reduce stains and abrasion.

Brightside uses Polyflow 4000, a unique polyurethane resin, which yields excellent flow and leveling characteristics as well as incredible abrasion and chemical resistance. Brightside also takes advantage of the latest in ultraviolet technology which insures longer color and gloss retention.

Together these technologies create a one-part polyurethane which gives the look of a two-part polyurethane with the application ease of a one-part enamel.

Beautiful gloss, wrong color

3

Finished the bottom of my boat, flipped it over and 3 coats of primer on the top and all the sanding is done. Opened the can of Kingston Grey, that looks Seattle Grey, this is a big difference, not a subtle shade off, but a big difference. I will be calling in the morning to get it replaced if possible. Or I may have to go to the Steel Grey since the color is that far off on the chart. The dark grey on the top rail is the primer.

Excellent Product

If you take the time to do the sanding in between coats, it comes out beautiful. Three coats of each color on my boat and it looks great, no brush strokes.

After the B/S with the total boat primer, this stuff came thru great ! covers very well, if I had known how good it covered would not have messed with the junk primer !

Great results if applied carefully

Brightside is an excellent one-part Urethane. It dries quite fast so I thin with 333 to achieve a good flow-out. My preference is to use a foam roller and tip out the bubbles with a Jen foam brush. Two coats over Interprime primer is usually sufficient.

I love this product

This paint is self leveling and sag resistant. Good sheen - almost high gloss. Easy to apply with a foam roller or a brush. It skins over in the can if you keep it very long at all. You can mix available colors to get what you want.

Looks great

I have used this previously on fiberglass hulls with good success by rolling and tipping. This time I used it that way on aluminum plates that had a base coat of Interprotect epoxy paint. Very nice professional finish.

so far so good

I have done a 2 square foot test patch, roll and tip. This paint goes on easily, and evens out nicely. I thinned it out first. After drying, the paint seems fairly hard. After the test patch, I was convinced to use the paint for the sides of my boat above the waterline.
