I need a Jib halyard for my 35 foot Pearson - But it is roller reefing so the jib shackle will not work. Get a Main halyard instead - even though for foresail ?Cheers, jef
You could use either one, the only difference is the Main has a stainless steel "captive" key pin headboard shackle where the Jib has a snap shackle.

I have a 23.5 Hunter Sailboat. Need to replace the jib halyard. Prefer an 80' line... red fleck... Should I purchase 5/16 or 7/16 or another size? Want a pre-spliced with swivel snap shackle. Recommendations Please! Thanks. Dick
Hi Dick, the 5/16" line should be more than adequate as far as load and stretch, but the main thing to take into consideration is the the masthead sheaves and the line that they will accept, as well as any hardware like rope clutches that you have.

What is the Shackle working load on your Jib/Spinnaker Halyard with a pre-spliced shackle product # RWE-12150JSHRDFK-1/2x150?
1/2" is 8500 lbs.

Can I purchase exact lengths according to vessel specifications? In other words, 48' rather than 60' for a Jib halyard?
I believe you can order any length you want. Or just order the nearest length you need and cut it to the length you want, then you will have a shorter length to tie a Dingle to the Yangle.
I am very pleased with my main halyard which is 15 ft longer than I need- but no problem- I would suggest cutting to the length you need and you have a good line for tying bumpers or something.
Seems to me the vendors should be answering this question, rather than pawning it off on their customers who are unable to answer accurately answer. Seems they don't want to provide real customer service.
I was able to order the exact lengths (and pre-spliced sizes) and have been using these halyards for 3 boating seasons in upstate New York. They all look new with no perceptible stretching and the fittings snap closed perfectly. You can't go wrong here. JIM
What is the length?
They sell main and jib halyards. I got a main halyard which comes in 60, 90, 110, and 140 foot lengths. The jib halyards also come in several sizes.
I am replacing running rigging on 1999 36' Catalina. Is there a way I provide catalina specs and you provide a quote?
I would suggest you call jamestown dist directly, i used this line for 2 seasons, works just fine for our cruising cutter.
Exactly what I needed
Best prespliced halyard I could find. Great shackle. Superior line.
Mainsail halyard, Yankee Dolphin sailboat.
This is a replacement for my Yankee Dolphin main halyard. I like the smooth tapered splice you use to attach the captive pin shackle. This type of splice is less likely to damage the sheave if the line is pulled too high. Both the line and the mainsail shackle are of superior quality. Some of your competitors delete the shackle pin so sooner or later the shackle ends up overboard. I just wish I had replaced the old halyard years ago.
This is a replacement for my Yankee Dolphin headsail halyard. I like the smooth tapered splice to attach the snap swivel. Both the line and the snap swivel were of superior quality. I just wish I had replaced the old halyard years ago.
Pre-spliced Spinnaker Halyard
The correct product was shipped only after the first shipment was wrong. They sent a main halyard instead of a jib/spinnaker halyard. Very similar, but the shackles are different and that is very important!
I would for sure buy this product again
Halyards were better than I expected. very professionally done, with quality attachment points
Their online store is very easy to navigate and order items. I found what I needed quickly. I received the package within that week.

Soft on the hands, easy on the wallet
Main halyard that came pre spliced with shackle. Easy to install, and easy to use with bare hands, but probably a little too stretchy for a racer. Great for cruising though!
