how does it attach to boat deck/is hardware included ?
It doesn't !. The curved hooks hook over the rail of the boat but are kind of loose - so then you will need your own bunjis or rope attachments to make it secure to a stanchion.I found the 11" size was too big for my 41 foot sailboat so got the 9" size instead.
Do these ladders hook onto something ON the boat? How do they attach, and once attached are they easily removable (temporary)?
They hook on the sides of the boat, it is a temporary ladder that is removeable. When you are ready to use it, just take it out and hang it off the side of the boat to climb in the water. Do not run the boat when this ladder is in the water, it can fall off easily and you can lose it.
there is nothing to attach to the boat. it just hangs over the side of the gunnel in the water after your done just stow it on the deck or where ever you can.make sure that you check the with of the gunnel to the ladder
Is there hardware to hook this on to the boat?
the ( J ) hooks are bilt in to the ladder and they fould up to put it away when not needed .. this not a peramenet ladder
does this fit any boat? and how does it hook on?
there are different size's 7" and 11" to fit the gunnel of your boat
What I didn't like about this particular product: 1. I got 3 step ladder - this is way too short (should have gotten 4 step ladder instead); 2 - protective rubber/plastic coating on the hooks that grab the side of the boat worn out after couple of uses. 3. Little foldable "feet" in the middle of the ladder that prop against the side of the boat, collapse to easy on their own which is a pain.Pros - light, easy to store, easy to use, floats on the water.
