Bernard Boat Registration Number Plates are available in either hard plastic or pressure-sensitive vinyl. Plastic registration plates are ideal for wooden hulls and attach with screws for easy installation and removal.
Can also be used on inflatable boats by simply tying them to a hand line. Pressure sensitive (adhesive backed) registration plates work great for fiberglass or metal hulls. Plates measure 4" high and are available in various lengths. Lettering not included. Sold in packs of (2).

Are they self sticking plates or do they have to be screwed on?
They had to be screwed on
There are holes in the plastic to screw them in place.
These plates must be screwed on... They are a plastic material, so they may not stick well at all... Even if you use adhesive... My boat is a one-design racer, so I jurryrigged then to clip onto my lifelines (for easy removal)
These plates are not self sticking. They have predrilled holes, and I simply zip-tied them to my dinghy's lifelines.
No they are a flat plastic plate
the plates do not have adhesive, so they need to be screwed on.
They are just placards. No stickiness on either side.
They would need to be applied via screws, or via zip ties which is how I attached to my Zodiac.
HOW THICK IS THE PLASTIC?
About 1/4 to 1\8 inches thick. The previous owner painted the registration numbers on. The plates covered it perfectly! The look awesome and were easy to install.
are these registration plates customized to the boat registration numbers we give you? Is the price for one plate or a pair ( which is required for every boat)
I just ordered these for my dinghy after the "glue on" rubber plates from West Marine fell off for the second time. These plates come in two sizes. I just measured the areas where I plan to mount them, and will then purchase my own numbers to fit at a sign shop. The price is for one pair.
The price is for 1 pair. They are the perfect size for standard registration numbers. they worked perfect on my dinghy
The boat registration boards are perfect!
The boat registration boards are perfect! These are the longer ones that also hold the State registration sticker. Plenty of screw holes pre-drilled for easy fastening to our wooden boat. Painting the hull will be easy without having to disturb the registration numbers each time we work on the hull. Highly recommended!
