how do I mount locks to oars?
You would drill a hole through your oars, and the pin slides through keeping them in place.
will therse work with Caviness Basswood oars?
Yes, There should not be a problem.
is there a different order number for the straight side horns?
The WHI-S-3524C is the straight side.
Missing a few small details
There is no way to secure the horizontal pin that holds the oar in place between the horns. Guess I'll have to file it or drill it. Definitely the right price, though.Otherwise, it seems to be fine.

used for light rowing around lake (early morning and early evening)
Using Oarlock horns
To loocrew:You should drill a hole in the oar, then put the pin through and flatten the end so it stays in place. This allows the oar to move freely up and down while rowing.
my favorite oarlocks
The oars were too round for the top bar so I used plastic cables to hold them in. The U works wonderfully and my husband says they work like a charm. Cost is reasonable and they are great for the job.
