TotalBoat Teak Oil is designed to restore, preserve and protect the natural color and beauty of your wood. It can be used for any interior or exterior applications and will not turn the wood orange, black or gray. Great for both hardwoods and softwoods including teak and mahogany.
The oil penetrates deep into any wood grain and acts as a stand-alone preservation solution for wood already in good health. It's also an ideal first step solution for restoring old, brittle, and damaged wood.
To apply, simply brush or wipe on with a clean rag. Allow 20-30 minutes for the oil to penetrate and then wipe off excess.
Attention: Free with every quart: 1 foam brush & 1 mixing pot!

Jeanette Lee the same thing happened to us so I don't have a good answer. We're going to sand and try something different
Hello!I understand your problem - I love the way any wood looks with oil only. The teak oil I used work very well but I dry sail and keep the boat in the garage out of sun and rain. I would say if I had limited time I'd rather be out on the water than cleaning teak!Frank
Is it a natural color?
The oil itself is a yellow/white/milky an thin. Wow! The Teak wood became such a beautiful color with much depth. Many highlights in the wood that I've not seen before. The wood was very clean and sanded before I applied the oil. Any project I do now I will plan on using oil instead of stain, varnish or paint !
No, it has a yellow tint, it is not like the pure oil products like the Amazon brand ( not the website). Like oil with a little paint color in it to make the wood a more uniform color. Personally I like the oil that allows the team to show through. This product changes the team color to a slightly yellow tint
Yes goes on beautifully
It seems to have yellow in it but it worked beautiful!
is this teak oil or other oils like linseed?
No,this oil as well as all other teak oils,is very thin like water to penetrate deep into the wood.Totalboat oil also has a pigment to give the wood a light amber color.
This is a light thin teak oil that penetrates the wood. It is not a glossy oil.
How much Teak oil is in this product? How much is linseed or other oils?
I am not familiar with this brand, but I do know that NO teak oil has oil derived from the teak tree as an ingredient. All teak oils are a combination of other common oils like linseed and tung that are used to effect oil finishes on hardwoods.
Just applied it, and not sure how long it will hold up
Instructions on the teak oil can says to topcoat with Danish Teak Sealer, but review of the sealer product doesn't mention applying over Teak Oil. In fact, the Sealer video shows it being applied over a newly sanded wood surface. Come to find out the Oil and Sealer are similar products.
Great for Outdoor Patio Furniture
Worked great on our outdoor teak patio furniture. Rainwater just beads up on the wood and the color still hasn't faded yet. A small amount went a long way. This teak furniture was expensive, so it was worth the time to take care of the set even if it means re-oiling every so often. Looks great.
