Abus Nautilus series combination padlocks are intended for use in medium security requirements in severe weather and environmental conditions. Users can set a four digit combination that allows the lock to open and close by pushing down on the shackle.
To set the combination, choose a desired combination, insert the tool supplied firmly into the small side opening on the body and turn 90 degrees, set the desired combination and remove the tool.
Padlock body is made from forged brass, and the internal components and shackle are made from rustproof materials, making this lock a perfect choice for marine duty. Two sizes are available.

When new the lock works well. As the lock ages it starts to have problems. In its second year the internal mechanism starts to jam prevent the lock from locking smoothly.

Other such padlock mfgr's see no need for a special (lose-able) tool in order to change the lock's combination. Simply rotating the opened lock's collar 90 degrees and pressing it down allows most locks of these kind to have their combination changed (and prevents situations where the 'special tool' is not susceptable to loss).
