Answer

I had to replace a Bomar hatch gasket and found the best way to select the correct part was to contact Bomar directly. It's best to do this when you are on the boat as they will want you to give them information about the hatch style and dimensions. It will also help if you can find the part number inscribed on the hatch frame (I couldn't find it, but they got me the right part anyway).

Answered on 07/23/2016 by Dick Holmes

Answer

The gasket material depends entirely on your particular model of Bomar Hatch. I bought three different gaskets before I finally got the right one. Ordering direct from Bomar will be the surest way to get the right gasket.

Question

What gasket seal the hatch to the deck?

Asked on 04/03/2018 by john from new york

Top Answer

These gaskets are the seals between the hatch and the frame. Generally, there are a number of sealant products that are sold to seal hatches to the deck from manufacturers like 3M, Sikaflex, TotalBoat, Sudbury, and Boatlife.

What is the correct replacement gasket for a Bomar G71020 hatch?

Adhesive sealant such as TotalBoat Total Seal is commonly used for bedding the hatch where it meets the deck. JD does not sell the rubber gasket for the lid.

The left and the middle photo are both P200025. The extra digits at the end represent the length.

Answer Question

Question

Which gasket will be needed to fix a Bomar Nibo S26491AXXRIOWGA (round) hatch? How much material for one hatch? Also, are instructions for the best method of application available

Asked on 06/28/2018 by Brian from Appleton wisconsin

Top Answer

If my calculations are correct, you will need roughly 79-81" of hatch gasket for that hatch. Each type of gasket material has their own tricks for installation. You can also call Bomar/Pompanette for more specific details that may help with your specific hatch.

We only have these two hatch gaskets in 3/8" molded and 9/16" round.

Answer Question

Question

I have a Wellcraft 23' with small cabin. Purchased in 1997 new. The cabin hatch is leaking. Looks like the weatherstripping has shrunk and pulled in from the corners, so I see a little light coming through, and the hatch is leaking. I think I need to replace the gasket. On the hatch is a tag that says BOMAR 96017510. Can anyone point me to the correct gasket material or part number to buy to replace the gasket. Thank you. Joe

Top Answer

Look at the profile you need and measure the gasket and order that size.
