are these stainless steel rings?
Asked on 12/19/2011 by UndisclosedI'm not sure if that they were stainless steel,They are a lot better quality than the hog rings that I can get locally from the auto parts stores.
Answered on 12/20/2011 by DANIEL MCCARRONNo the rings are not stainless steel. They will rust but are nevertheless very handy to use.
Answered on 12/19/2011 by CURTIS BEDRICHNo, but the material is a good quality steel that holds very well. I used them on my VW seat covers which are stretched around the seats frame and padding very tightly and they worked just fine.
Answered on 12/19/2011 by RENE SOLISNo, they are not. I was led to believe they were and the cost of shipping them back was the same as buying them, so I just threw them away. You can get good stainless hog rings at Eastern Marine dot com.

Answered on 12/22/2011 by BENJAMIN LANTZWill these secure two 5/16 lead ropes to form a loop?
Asked on 01/17/2015 by Undisclosedmaybe for something temporary but I would not think it would have any strength.
Answered on 01/18/2015 by DOUG TEUTSCHThe short answer is, yes, they are about the right size to go around two 5/16 lines. The real question is how are you going to use this loop? I would never trust hog rings to hold a loop in regular line under any tension. They are great for shock cord which is how I used them. The dacron or other regular line, I would prefer an eye splice
