Rule 97 and 98 shower drain kits are automatic discharge drains that feature an anti-siphoning device to prevent shower water back flow on boats. Shower drain has a built in Rule-A-Matic float switch for automatic power-up and discharge. Internal Rule discharge pump has a removable wide screen strainer for easy cleaning. Available in 12 volts.

Basically design is great and many options to connect my last one lasted over 10 years and float switch ( mercury ) still was working but decided to replace whole unit instead of just pump. did not last one season float switch makes pump cycle with out water checked switch manually switch is clear but and seamed to work, as I crawled out of bilge I herd it cycle again. I have seamed some reviews on reed switch problems. This rule unit although well designed has major flaw in float switch.
