The Whale fold down faucet is ideal for sinks where space is limited. Compact modern faucet design provides total flow control with only 90 degree hand wheel movement. The spout both swivels and folds down for added space and the faucet can be installed either vertically or horizontally.
Ceramic valves are sure to last on this faucet with 1/2" BSP male threaded hose connections. Each faucet provides the ability to connect Whale Quick Connect 12 mm and 15 mm pipework, and all are available with stylish satin chrome finish.
Hot and cold faucet available with standard length control or mixer faucet with longer length control.
British Standard Pipe (BSP) threads are used commonly in many countries outside the U.S. The most common BSP threaded fittings are tapered with pressure tight joints achieved by the threads. While similar in appearance to National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded fittings the two styles are not interchangeable.
BSP and NPT threads are not compatible due to the differences in their thread forms, and not just the fact that most diametrical sizes have a different pitch. BSP threads have a 55° included angle and have rounded peaks and valleys (this is a Whitworth thread form); NPT threads have a 60° included angle and have flattened peaks and valleys (this is a Sellers thread form).
Note: BSP fittings are NOT compatible with metric pipe thread.

replaces the oem scandvik which was dripping after 17 years. i had previously replaced another scandvik with another whale. that was 8 years ago. we have a saltwater washdown in sink area. the scandvik paint finish blistered and flaked. the whale chrome shows no signs of wear whatsoever.
