Answer

I only used the outside of the Scuppers which contained the rubber flapper and retaining ring since they matched the ones on my boat. (And we're what needed replacing) The internal plumbing of the old Scuppers were fine so I didn't replace them. If there had been easy access I would have replaced them but it would be a major headache to reach them under the deck and in the bilge. Based on the length of the plumbing pipe portion, going through a 3 inch hull should not be a problem. The product is of good quality and I would recommend it, I am just glad I was able to short cut a complete installation.

I don't have my boat here to look at, but I think it was 6 inches in length and 1 1/2" in diameter?? I used it to to go thru the transom so I measured and cut it to length.

I was just replacing the Four of the original that I believe came on my 1990 Grady White and was a perfect match. I believe the hole was 1 1/2" thru the haul.

Answer Question

Question

I need to know the transom thickness that this item will cover, I can see that it's somewhat adjustable by the thread but the transom on my catalina 22 is 2" thick and it would need to be at least a little longer at the thread than that. Will this adjust to longer than 2"?
