Answer

There are holes in the plastic to screw them in place.

Answer

These plates must be screwed on... They are a plastic material, so they may not stick well at all... Even if you use adhesive... My boat is a one-design racer, so I jurryrigged then to clip onto my lifelines (for easy removal)

Answered on 10/30/2013 by MICHAEL LACHMAYR

Answer

These plates are not self sticking. They have predrilled holes, and I simply zip-tied them to my dinghy's lifelines.

They would need to be applied via screws, or via zip ties which is how I attached to my Zodiac.

Answer Question

Question

are these registration plates customized to the boat registration numbers we give you? Is the price for one plate or a pair ( which is required for every boat)

Asked on 01/24/2013 by Kenneth Delap

Top Answer

I just ordered these for my dinghy after the "glue on" rubber plates from West Marine fell off for the second time. These plates come in two sizes. I just measured the areas where I plan to mount them, and will then purchase my own numbers to fit at a sign shop. The price is for one pair.

Top Answer

About 1/4 to 1\8 inches thick. The previous owner painted the registration numbers on. The plates covered it perfectly! The look awesome and were easy to install.
