Product Details

McLube Hullkote features a proprietary formulation of their bonded PTFE suspension system with an entirely new, revolutionary, citrus-based long lasting high gloss polish. It is environmentally friendly and designed for easier and faster hull coating applications saving time and money.

Hullkote's citrus base is a natural degreaser and allows for an ultra-smooth finish that offers a long-lasting shine. In addition to the superior finish, Hullkote provides durable, UV protection for hulls and spars. It can be used anywhere since it is completely biodegradable and contains no petroleum distillates or harsh solvents.

Hullkote applies in half the time of standard petroleum based finishes. It contains ingredients similar to McLube's popular Sailkote product. The citrus base allows users to apply up to half the amount required compared to similar products.

Directions for Use

  • Shake bottle well. Saturate a small cloth with Hullkote and apply to a clean surface adding additional Hullkote to the cloth as needed. Hullkote is a distinct green color making the polish easy to see against any color surface.
  • Immediately wipe away any excess Hullkote using a clean, dry cloth. There is no need to wait for the product to dry - just wipe it on, and then polish away the excess. No heavy buffing is required. What is left is a clean, fast, long-lasting, glossy finish.
  • Apply 2 coats initially for best results. Be sure to apply to a relatively clean, dirt and grit free surface to avoid scratching.
  • NOTE: If applied on a hot day, we suggest starting with a damp (add water) cloth, then add Hullkote onto cloth for easier application in hot weather or warm sufaces.
  • When the boat comes out of the water, we recommend cleaning the hull with Hullkote as per above directions to be ready for the next race.

Lasts for up to ONE YEAR above the waterline. Beneath the waterline, it lasts 20 days of hard sailing upon the first coat, and 30+ days after 2 to 3 coats.
