Question

What wax should I use on my boat after cleaning with this product?

Asked on 12/15/2011 by Undisclosed

Top Answer

I use collinite products everywhere on my boat excep the cockpit deck. Past wax on the hull..liquid cleaner wax on the top side. I used the boat cleaner to clean the cockpit deck before applying Woody wax to the decking only. All are excellant products. Highly recommend Collinite products.

Answer

Using the Collinite Fiberglass Cleaner prior to application of Collinite Liquid Fleetwax No. 870 results in a very durable stain resistant wax polish. I prefer the Liquid Fleetwax to the solid wax product 885 as I find it easier to apply in cooler weather but may not be quite as long lasting. Both are excellent products and both have outlasted all other similar products in my experience. I would strongly recommend pre-cleaning with the Fiberglass cleaner, after a good wash, prior to applying the wax for best results.

Answer Question

Question

Can this product, Collinite Fiberglass Boat Cleaner, be used to clean my fiberglass shower pan in my bathroom? Also if so can the fleet wax also be applied or will it make the surface slippery?

Asked on 08/08/2017 by Annette from Mt Sinai NY

Top Answer

You can use it to clean the fiberglass, it will be more slippery than before application and even more when waxed but will help keep it cleaner longer.
