Rule Pump Strainer Bases Customer Questions and Answers

I'm trying to remove the square strainer base from my Rule 800 bilge pump and can not get it off the pump. The tabs are way up under the housing of the top section. I tried prying at bit, but am afraid to break it. Is there a trick to getting the strainer base off? There's a screw inside that's loose. Thanks.

I don't see where they make the 1800 pump anymore. It could be the RUL-278 if it's the same as the 1500 and the 2000.

The diagram shows the Rule Pump Strainer collection. I need two R-285 models as shown in the diagram. Your order option show R-286's. Is this the same strainer?

I did order a Rule pump strainer but it was a model 279 which was what I needed
