Product Details

Fireboy high-temperature manual discharge cables allow for the manual discharge of an MA2 or GA system when smoke or flames are detected. Cables meet USCG (United States Coast Guard) flame-test requirements for fire resistance.

Each cable bend should not exceed 360-degrees, and proper consideration should be taken into account when ordering specific lengths. These kits include the cable, escutcheon plate, pull handle, safety pin and safety tie.

Info & Guides

Note: Determine the length of cable needed by measuring from the extinguisher head to the desired location where the red T-handle can be easily pulled. Always use the shortest allowable length possible to ensure proper operation.

Q: null Hi, how do you know which length cable to get. My boat is 23 feet long and if the cable needs to be installed at the helm, then what would be the length of the cable and if buying a slightly longer cable is OK?

1 Answer

A: You will need to measure the route that the cable follows to accurately determine the distance. Too much excess cable could make it difficult to activate.
