I used it as a keel plug on my 18' power boat in the ocean. It "held tite" and I always carry a spare & change yearly.

Answer

Never used it on sit on tops, but I imagine it all depends on the diameter. If your scupper hole is 1" diam, and the bailer plug is 1", I imagine it will fit.....

Answered on 04/19/2012 by ROBERT SHADOW

Answer

If the hole is a 1" or 1 1/4" hole,it should work, however, I wouldn't want the sharp handle of one of these that may hurt you depending where the scupper holes are. Kayak shops sell flexible scupper plugs that are for this purpose, and won't hurt you

Question

I have a 14 foot new nymph aluminum jon boat that needs a drain plus what size do I need?

Asked on 04/19/2014 by Theo Buse

Top Answer

The larger the better. If the boat is used in salt water you need an aluminum tube NOT brass or you will have lots of problems.
